- Some doctors are utter twats. Others are extremely nice and helpful.
- Why does the whole class have to travel across town once a week to use the computer room in the other hospital, when there's an identical computer room where we are? Especially since the tutors are based here too.
- There's a surprising amount of free food in hospitals, if you know where to look. Sit near the back of the theatre during grand rounds; that way you get first dibs on the coffee, melon and pastries.
- How does it make any sense that we're apparently not going to be vaccinated against A(H1N1)?
- How come I still don't go to the gym every day, even though it's across the road?

Checking in
One rotation and several weeks of lectures down, and I still haven't posted anything. Should really have expected as much from myself to be honest... However, this does mean that I now have plenty of stuff on my mind to share. For now, a few thoughts:

I'm a medical student, about to start my third year studying medicine in Dublin. For years I've meant to start a blog to share/offload my experiences and thoughts, but I kept putting it on the long finger; the transition from the pre-clinical science years to clinics seems as good a point as any. Expect a more detailed introduction soon. Let's see how long I can keep this up without getting bored...
